Would love to hear from anyone who’s used a service?

Hey all, I’m helping my aunt transition to some in-home care in Pittsburgh after a rough fall last month. She’s 79 and pretty independent, but she’s starting to need help with meds, meals, and getting to her appointments. I live out of state, so I’m trying to find an agency I can trust from a distance. Would love to hear from anyone who’s used a service they were really happy with — especially one that’s good at communication and flexibility.

Been in a similar boat with my dad. We used an agency last year when his memory issues started getting worse, and honestly, it was a huge relief. They handled everything from daily check-ins to medication reminders, and the caregiver was super kind — like family. If you haven’t already, I’d check out this list of the Best Home Care Agencies in Pittsburgh . It helped me narrow things down fast, and most of the options on there are locally trusted.

One thing I’ve noticed is that having a consistent caregiver makes a big difference. A friend of mine had someone different show up every few days for her mom, and it really threw her off. The emotional connection matters just as much as the care itself, especially when routines are key to someone’s day.
